Coming from a background in environmental arts and community
regeneration, Ben spent several years working for a developing social enterprise
based around a city farm in Sheffield, before joining the National Trust to
manage a group of properties including a busy historic park, along the River
Wandle in South London.
His role within the team is wide ranging, taking in aspects of all the projects along the Jurassic Coast which are being developed in partnership with the South West Regional Development Assembly as part of the £7.1m framework agreement. The aim is to involve local communities and businesses in creating a range of world class visitor facilities and improve the quality of services provided by the tourism industry. The projects include a range of exciting new visitor centres and facilities in towns all along the coast, including Exmouth, Seaton, Lyme Regis, West Bay, Portland, Weymouth and Swanage.
When not working, two small children and a dog keep him busy, they enjoy walking, cycling and generally splashing about...when the weather's warm enough.
