Rock Around the Coast - Portland Coast Walk

This series of walks offers an exceptional opportunity to really learn about the Jurassic Coast and the people that work to preserve and promote this amazing World Heritage Site.

The unique landscape and wildlife of Portland is explored over the course of the day with optional Lighthouse Tour and lunch stop at Portland Bill. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to visit Portland Bird Observatory and their excellent natural history book shop.

Leader: Lyn Cooch, Portland Ranger.

Guest speakers: A variety of experts on Portland's natural history.

Return bus service: not applicable.

The walks in this series can be physically demanding in places, often covering uneven terrain and steep hills. Sturdy footwear should be worn.
