2011 sees the return of the annual Jurassic Coast Award, following its launch in 2010. This year the award will recognise businesses who have made a special contribution to the Jurassic Coast.

We would like to recruit individuals from the communities of the Jurassic Coast who can be just what the title implies; Ambassadors for the World Heritage Site on their doorstep.

The new version of the Jurassic Coast 'miniguide' leaflet was launched this summer. It has been distributed throughout Dorset and East Devon, to TICs, Visitor Centres and a wide range of tourism businesses.

Visitors, and locals alike, are being encouraged to think of travel as being more than ‘A to B' in an initiative to highlight the South West's most scenic journeys.
