Jurassic Coast Award

This year, 2011, sees the second year of an exciting and prestigious award that recognises outstanding contributions to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.

In 2011 the Jurassic Coast Award is for a business that has promoted the values of the Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site through its operations - including sustainability, World Heritage Site awareness and enjoyment, education and conservation and Site management.

The award is an individually sculptured stone cube inscribed on all sides with names of places along the Jurassic Coast and the date, 2011, on top. The award has been designed and created by the lettering artist and sculptor Gary Breeze with sponsorship from the Fine Family Foundation.

Four businesses have been shortlisted for the 2011 Jurassic Coast Award.

The businesses are Stuart Line Cruises, Oakdown Holiday Park, Bagwell Farm Touring Park and Discover Dorset Day Tours.

The winning business will be announced at the Jurassic Coast Annual Seminar on Wednesday 14 December 2011 at the Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis.
