The Jurassic Coast Trust, established in 2002 supports a diverse range of conservation, education, arts and science projects along the length of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Previous projects supported by the Trust include: 

• Great Dorset Beach Clean
  
• Support for Visitor Centre enhancements
  
• Preparation of 130 million year old rare fossil crocodile 
• Partnering inner city schools with Jurassic Coast primary schools
• Special Needs education arts workshops
• International teacher training programmes on how to use World Heritage Sites as teaching tools
• Education materials for schools including traveling displays, dinosaur dig boxes and DVDs
• Global citizens workshops to explore links between World Heritage and the Olympic movement

At the recent November Board meeting, trustees announced the next round of Jurassic Coast projects to be funded or sponsored by the Jurassic Coast Trust for 2008:

• Fossil dig trays and loan boxes for Heritage Centres and Museums
• Jurassic Coast placement grants for student teachers
• Young Colours project
• Annual Great Dorset Beach Clean

Dr Anjana Khatwa, Jurassic Coast Education Coordinator says "the schools programmes in particular have benefited enormously from previous funding from the Jurassic Coast Trust, without which much of our outreach work would not have been possible. This year's grant means that student teachers will have the opportunity to experience outdoor education within England's only natural World Heritage Site through the funding of placements at Visitor Centres along the Jurassic Coast."
