Jurassic Coast Quality Business Scheme Update

Tourism businesses along the Jurassic Coast are being encouraged to take part in the new Jurassic Coast Quality Business Scheme.

New Jurassic Coast signage in East Devon

Jurassic Coast branded signs can now be seen at railway stations in East Devon as well as Dorset, promoting the station's close proximity to and affiliation with the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.

Research along the Dorset and East Devon section of the South West Coast Path

Surveys are being carried out along the coast path to find out what people really thing about the signs, facilities and access to the path.

Jurassic Coast Arts Programme

The Jurassic Coast Arts Programme is underway with an arts project protocol, developing event themes, working up ideas for the Cultural Olympiad (2008 - 12) and preparing a large Grants for the Arts bid to help finance the project.  Chris Huxley and Crystal Johnson have been appointed to carry out the work. Chris was recently in charge at Bridport Arts Centre in West Dorset and Crystal is well known throughout the region from her work with Arts & Business.  

A New Post is filled at the Jurassic Coast Trust

Earlier in the year, Nikki Greenleaf was appointed as the Executive Officer of the Jurassic Coast Trust. Nikki has a senior management background in marketing, communications and fundraising, and experience across all sectors in leading campaigns.
