A ten minute walk along the coast from Seaton is the ancient harbour of Axmouth, home to the Sea Discovery Centre. The centre boasts a large range of local sea life and is suitable for all ages including toddlers. There is also a superb seafood delicatessen and a shop where you can buy fishing tackle.
This section is being developed.
From the 20 August, a short stretch of the South West Coast Path near
the pumping station at Pinhay, on the Axmouth to Lyme Regis Undercliffs National Nature Reserve,
will be closed during every working day. It is
expected that this closure will be needed until at least 31 August.
However, the affected section will be re-opened in the
evenings and weekends and on August Bank Holiday.
