Jurassic Coast

Accessibility Statement

We want the Jurassic Coast website to be accessible to all so we have built the site to conform to Priority 2 of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We wish to exceed these guidelines wherever we can and operate on a basic of continuous improvement.  Our website has been designed with the following accessibility guidelines in mind:

  • Pages are designed so that they can be viewed at a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.  Optimal viewing is at 1024 x 768.
  • Page structure is conveyed using header elements to assist screen readers
  • A stylesheet is used on our website and relative font sizes on all text with the exception of graphical text.  Where graphical text is used it is supported by descriptive tags which are accessible to screen readers.
  • Text can be increased or decreased in size by using the "view" option in your browser or by holding down the CTRL key and using the central scroll wheel on your mouse (PCs only)
  • Images have alternative text.
  • We have avoided conveying information solely by the use of colour.
  • A site map is available to provide information about the layout of the website.
