Jurassic Coast

Visiting The Coast

Our aim is to help you get the most out of your visit to the Jurassic Coast, while ensuring future generations are also able to enjoy this very special World Heritage Site.

The interactive maps will enable you to access a wide range of visitor information - just select the section of the Jurassic Coast you are interested in and take it from there.

You can then browse the full range of maps, and whether its general town information you need, or more specific travel information, simply click on the town name - or bus number on a particular route - and you will be taken to the appropriate part of the website for further details.

The Jurassic Coast is extremely well served by its Gateway Towns and villages which provide a good range of accommodation, museums and visitor centres throughout the area. In addition to these, the 'Anchor Towns' of Exeter, Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch also provide an extensive range of visitor facilities. Tourist Information Centres, located within some of these towns, provide invaluable points of contact for visitor information - why not contact them ahead of your visit to see what's on offer and then pop in again on your arrival to the area, they are there to make your trip as enjoyable as possible and staff will be happy to advise. Those towns with information centres are shown on the maps - select one of these to link to further details.
