Management and conservation of the Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site.
A Management Plan has been agreed for the Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site. This is the key document that establishes the policies for the Site and the arrangements for the co-ordinating effort between all the different interests who have responsibilities for it. The plan sets out proposals for the conservation, access, education and science. It also identifies ways in which World Heritage status can help sustainable development in the wider area of Dorset and East Devon.
The future of the Site is an exciting long-term commitment for the whole area, involving thousands of people helping conserve and celebrate the coast. The aim is to pass the Site on to future generations to experience, learn from and enjoy in the same way that we are able to do today.
The work is undertaken by team members and working groups. The Working groups are listed below and you can obtain copies of the minutes for the groups from these pages.
