Jedward's Big Adventure

Broadcasting on CBBC, 8th February 2012

The United Kingdom is a place of outstanding beauty with a rich history and who better to bestow this knowledge on future generations than... err...Jedward?

Famous twins Jedward turn their back on their celebrity lifestyle to become the UK's top tour guides in this brand new, action-packed CBBC show. Together they travel to some of the country's most popular tourist attractions and compete to give the best tours with the help of some celebrity friends.

The pair will be given just 24 hours to learn from the experts everything there is to know about a World Heritage Site, before having to communicate the facts to a group of tourists in a way that only they can.

In the third episode, wannabe tour guides John and Edward are joined by Rav Wilding and Sian and Jessica from the girl band Parade as they head to the Jurassic Coast in Dorset to unearth fascinating facts about the dinosaurs that lived there 65 million years ago. The boys even uncover jewellery made of dinosaur poo!

They blow up a quarry in an attempt to find fossilised dinosaur footprints, but find they have used too much dynamite, and take a group of tourists to a car scrap yard to slice a vehicle in half to demonstrate the power of the Pliosaur's bite.

John and Rav attempt to show how sedimentary rocks trapped dinosaurs to create fossils, with John being gunged on the beach by layers of beans, porridge and flour.  Meanwhile, Edward and the girls from Parade invent a routine called the Fossilisation dance to illustrate how fossils were made.

The winning team will be rewarded with a ride on a jet speedboat, while the losers will be made to go for an ice-cold swim in the sea. Who will win and be crowned the best tour guides?

Jedward commented: "We've really loved making this show for CBBC. We've also learnt so much about the UK and if all else fails in music we can now take up a career as professional tour guides!"

Over the past three years, Jedward's rise to fame has been phenomenal. With a platinum album, their own reality TV show and a sold out tour under their belts, the crazy and charismatic twins are ready to take on their next challenge.

One thing is for sure, viewers can expect madness, mayhem and a whole lot of fun from the brothers Grimes.
