Help us improve your trip to the coast

signpost-230 Members of the public are being invited to air their views in a new coastal survey. The Dorset Coast Forum wants to know how you find ‘getting about' along our coast at the moment, and what you think could be improved. How useable are the footpaths, can you reach the coast by public transport, and what types of signs and information are most helpful? The survey will provide valuable information to shape future management of coastal paths and transport links. This is part of a new ‘Coastal Corridor Action Plan' being developed by the Dorset and East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnerships, the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Team, Dorset Countryside, Dorset Coast Forum, National Trust, Natural England and South West Coast Path Team.Jodie McGregor from The Dorset Coast Forum who is carrying out the survey says: "essential information is needed from users of the coast to consider their particular needs, such as what information they would like to see on signs along the coast and what facilities they use. We particularly want to find out what barriers exist that stop people from being able to fully enjoy our coastal landscapes."
Jodie has been out talking to visitors at a number of locations along the coast, but to make sure as many people take part as possible, it is also available on-line. To take part on the survey and have your say, visit www.dorsetforyou.com/coastalsurvey .

You have until 31 October to take part.
